Three-Dimensional Graph Drawing
A three-dimensional straight-line grid drawing of a graph, henceforth called a 3D drawing, represents the vertices by distinct grid-points in Z and represents each edge by the line segment between its end vertices, such that no two edges cross. In contrast to the case in the plane, it is folklore that every graph has a 3D drawing. For example, the “moment curve” algorithm places the i th vertex...
متن کاملComparison of Three-Dimensional Double-Echo Steady-State Sequence with Routine Two-Dimensional Sequence in the Depiction of Knee Cartilage
Introduction: There are some routine two-dimensional sequences, including short tau inversion recovery (STIR), T2-weighted fast-spin echo (T2W-FSE), and proton-density fast spin-echo for diagnosing osteoarthritis and lesions of the knee cartilage. However, these sequences have some disadvantages, such as long scan time, inadequate spatial resolution, and suboptimal tis...
متن کاملTwo Algorithms for Three Dimensional Orthogonal Graph Drawing
We use basic results from graph theory to design two algorithms for constructing 3-dimensional, intersection-free orthogonal grid drawings of n vertex graphs of maximum degree 6. Our first algorithm gives drawings bounded by an O(x/~ ) • O(x/~ • O(v~ ) box; each edge route contains at most 7 bends. The best previous result generated edge routes containing up to 16 bends per route. Our second al...
متن کاملSolving a class of nonlinear two-dimensional Volterra integral equations by using two-dimensional triangular orthogonal functions
In this paper, the two-dimensional triangular orthogonal functions (2D-TFs) are applied for solving a class of nonlinear two-dimensional Volterra integral equations. 2D-TFs method transforms these integral equations into a system of linear algebraic equations. The high accuracy of this method is verified through a numerical example and comparison of the results with the other numerical methods.
متن کاملApproximation solution of two-dimensional linear stochastic Volterra-Fredholm integral equation via two-dimensional Block-pulse functions
In this paper, a numerical efficient method based on two-dimensional block-pulse functions (BPFs) is proposed to approximate a solution of the two-dimensional linear stochastic Volterra-Fredholm integral equation. Finally the accuracy of this method will be shown by an example.
